On this day in 1989, Tone-Loc released his debut studio album Loc-ed After Dark on Delicious Vinyl. The album featured production from Matt Dike, Michael Ross, and The Dust Brothers. Loc-ed After Dark spawned the smash hit singles "Wild Thing," which reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100; "Funky Cold Medina," which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100; and "I Got It Goin' On," which reached #18 on the Hot Rap Singles chart. The album reached #1 on the Billboard 200. It was certified double platinum by the RIAA in May, 1989.
