On this day in 1986, Run-D.M.C. released their third album Raising Hell on Profile. The album was produced by Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin. Aerosmith were featured as guests on the groundbreaking set. ​Raising Hell spawned the singles "It's Tricky," which reached #57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #21 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart; "My Adidas," which reached #33 on the Rap chart in 2000; "You Be Illin'," which peaked at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100; and "Walk This Way," which peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album reached #3 on the Billboard 200 and became the first rap album to reach #1 on the R&B chart and be certified platinum by the RIAA.
