On this day in Hip-Hop history, Onyx released their debut album Bacdafucup.

On this day in 1993, Onyx released their debut album Bacdafucup on JMJ Records/Rush.  The album was produced by Chyskillz, Jam Master Jay, and Kool Tee.  The debut set spawned the singles "Throw Ya Gunz," which was the lead single off the album and reached #81 on the Billboard Hot 100; "Slam," which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100; and "Shifftee," which peaked at #92 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Bacdafucupreached #17 on the Billboard 200 and peaked at #8 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart.  It was certified platinum by the RIAA in October, 1993.
