On this day in 2001, Masta Ace released what was technically his first solo album, Disposable Arts, on JCOR. His previous releases were credited to his group Masta Ace Incorporated.
This album featured production from Masta Ace, Ayatollah, DJ Rob, Paul Nice, Rodney Hunter, and others. Guest artists featured on the set included Greg Nice, of Nice & Smooth, Rah Digga, of the Flipmode Squad, Leschea, J-Ro, King Tee, Punchline, Wordsmith, Jane Doe, Apocalypse, Tonedeff, Jean Grae, Mr. Lee Gee, Sas, Young Zee, and Strick. βDisposable Arts peaked at #90 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
