On this day in 1995, Kool G Rap released his debut solo album 4,5,6 on Cold Chilln'. It was his first release since disbanding with DJ Polo and his last on Cold Chillin'. Production on the album featured work by Buckwild, Dr. Butcher, T-Ray, Naughty Shorts, and Salaam Remi. Guest artists featured on the album included MF Grimm, B-1, and Nas. 4,5,6 produced a few hit singles including "Fast Life" which featured Nas and reached #74 on the Billboard Hot 100, "It's A Shame," and "4,5,6." The album itself peaked at #24 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Rap and R&B charts.
