On this day in 1997, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony released their fourth album The Art of War on Ruthless. The double album was produced by DJ U-Neek. Guest artists featured on the set included 2Pac, Mr. Maje$ty, Mo Thugs, and Tre. The Art of War contained the hit singles "Thug Luv," which featured 2Pac; "Look into My Eyes," which reached #1 on the R&B chart and was certified platinum; and "If I Could Teach the World," which reached #3 on the Rap chart and was certified gold. The album reached #1 on both the Billboard 200 and the R&B chart. It was certified multi-platinum by the RIAA.
