On this day in 1991, fellow Native Tongues Posse artists, Black Sheep, released their debut album A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing on Mercury. The album was mostly self-produced by Black Sheep themselves, Dres and Mr. Lawnge.
The mischievous set spawned four hit singles: "Flavor of the Month," "Strobelite Honey," "Similak Child," and the classic joint "The Choice is Yours" which hit #1 on the Rap chart and was accompanied by a revolutionizing music video which changed the art form.
A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing peaked at #30 on the Billboard 200 and #15 on the R&B chart. It was certified gold.
