On this day in 1989, London-born rapper Young MC released his debut album Stone Cold Rhymin' on Delicious Vinyl. The Dust Brothers, Matt Dike, and Michael Ross handled the production on the album. Stone Cold Rhymin' spawned six singles: "I Come Off," "Pick Up the Pace," "I Let 'Em Know," "Know How," "The Principal's Office," and the Grammy Award-winning hit "Bust A Move." The album spent forty-eight weeks on the Billboard 200. It peaked at #9 on the 200 and #8 on the R&B chart.
