On this day in 1994, Warren G released his debut album Regulate...G Funk Era on Def Jam. The debut was self-produced by Warren G with Chris Lighty and Paul Stewart as executive producers. Guest artists featured on the set included Nate Dogg, O.G.L.B., the Twinz, the Dove Shack, B-Tip, Ricky Harris, Mr. Malik, Jah Skills, Bo Roc, G. Child, Lady Levi, and Wayniac. Regulate...G Funk Era spawned the singles "Regulate," which was certified platinum and reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Rap chart; "This D.J.," which peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #3 on the Rap chart; and "Do You See," which reached #42 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #11 on the Rap chart. The album earned two Grammy Award nominations and peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and hit #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The debut set was certified multi-platinum by the RIAA.
