On this day in 2000, Tony Touch released his debut album The Piece Maker on Tommy Boy. The album featured production by Tony Touch, DJ Premier, DJ Muggs, The Alchemist, and others. Guest artists featured on the set included Gang Starr, Cypress Hill, Wu-Tang Clan, Eminem, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Prodigy, and many more. The Piece Maker spawned two singles, "I Wonder Why? (He's the Greatest DJ)" and "The Return of the Diaz Brothers," both just cracked the R&B charts. The album peaked at #57 on the Billboard 200. It reached #19 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart.
