On this day in Hip-Hop, in 2007, T.I. released his fifth studio album, T.I. vs T.I.P. on Atlantic.
While the concept wasn't anything new, in 2007 T.I. had beef with himself. A battle between business man and gangsta, T.I. vs T.I.P..
The album, which debuted at the top of the charts on the Billboard 200, would go platinum and be nominated for a Grammy. ​Singles off the album included "You Know What It Is" and "Hurt", produced by Wyclef Jean, and the Grammy-nominated hit "Big S**t Poppin' (Do It)".
