On this day in 1997, rap supergroup The Firm released their one and only album The Firm: The Album on Aftermath. The album was produced by Dr. Dre and Trackmasters. Guests featured on the album included Dr. Dre, Pretty Boy, Canibus, Half a Mill, Dawn Robinson of En Vogue, and Lucy Pearl. The Firm: The Album spawned the smash hits "Firm Biz," and "Phone Tap." The highly anticipated album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and also reached #1 on the R&B chart.
