On this day in 1992, Redman released his debut album Whut? Thee Album on Def Jam. The album featured production by Redman, EPMD, Pete Rock, and Mr. Bozack. It spawned a few hit singles, "Tonight's Da Night," "Blow Your Mind," and "Time 4 Sum Aksion," in which the latter two both reached #1 on the Rap chart. The album debuted at #49 on the Billboard 200 and reached #5 on the R&B chart. Whut? Thee Album was certified gold.
