On this day in Hip-Hop history, Redman released his debut album Whut? Thee Album.

On this day in 1992, Redman released his debut album Whut? Thee Album on Def Jam.  The album featured production by Redman, EPMD, Pete Rock, and Mr. Bozack.

It spawned a few hit singles, "Tonight's Da Night," "Blow Your Mind," and "Time 4 Sum Aksion," in which the latter two both reached #1 on the Rap chart.  The album debuted at #49 on the Billboard 200 and reached #5 on the R&B chart. 

Whut? Thee Album was certified gold.

Common Sense released his debut album Can I Borrow a Dollar? on Relativity. 

1998 - Cypress Hill released their fourth album Cypress Hill IV on Ruffhouse Records.
