On this day in 2000, Outkast released their fourth album Stankonia on LaFace. The album was produced by Earthtone III and Organized Noize. It became the group's mainstream pop breakthrough album and featured longtime collaborators Cee-Lo Green, Erykah Badu, Sleepy Brown, and the recording debut of Atlanta artist Killer Mike. The album spawned three major hit singles: "B.O.B.," and "Ms. Jackson," both reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100; "So Fresh, So Clean," which peaked at #30 on the Hot 100. It debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold the first week selling 530,000 copies. The group earned five Grammy nominations for Stankonia and won two for best rap album and best rap performance by a duo or group for "Ms. Jackson."
