On this day in 1999, Nas released his third album I Am... on Columbia. The album featured an array of producers which included Timbaland, Trackmasters, L.E.S., DJ Premier, Dame Grease, and others. Notable guest artists that appeared on the set included Puff Daddy, DMX, Scarface, and Aaliyah. I Am... spawned the singles "Nas Is Like," which peaked at #3 on the Rap chart; and "Hate Me Now," which reached #8 on the Rap chart. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. It was certified multi-platinum by the RIAA.
