On this day in 2000, Mystikal released his fourth studio album Let's Get Ready on Jive. It would be his first album since parting ways with No Limit and was the most successful set of his career. The album included production by the Neptunes, the Medicine Men, KLC, and Earthtone III. Featured guests on the album included Pharrell Williams, Petey Pablo, Da Brat, Nivea, and Outkast. Let's Get Ready debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. It spawned two hit singles: "Shake Ya Ass," and "Danger (Been So Long)," both were top twenty hits on the Billboard Hot 100. The album would be certified multi-platinum.
