On this day in the year 2000, New York rap duo M.O.P. released their single "Ante Up (Robbing-Hoodz Theory)" on Loud. The track was produced by DR Period and was a minor hit in the US but the remix was a top ten pop hit in the UK. "Ante Up" was the breakthrough song off of M.O.P.'s Warriorz album which was released a month later along with a remix that featured Busta Rhymes, Teflon, and Remy Ma. The song reached #19 on the Rap chart.
