On this day in 1999, Missy Elliott released her second studio album Da Real World on East West. The album was produced by Timbaland. The album featured guest artists Big Boi, Nas, Eve, Q-Tip, Lil' Kim, Redman, Eminem, Juvenile, and Beyonce. Da Real World spawned the singles "She's a Bitch," which reached #30 on the R&B chart; "All n My Grill," which peaked at #16 on the R&B chart; and the remix of "Hot Boyz," which spent sixteen weeks at #1 on the Rap chart. The album reached #10 on the Billboard 200. It was #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Missy's second set sold more than one million copies in its first seven months and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
