On this day in Hip-Hop history, MF Doom released his debut solo album Operation: Doomsday.

On this day in 1999, MF Doom released his debut solo album Operation: Doomsday on Fondle 'Em.  The album featured production from Metal Fingers, and DJ Subroc.  Guest artists featured on the debut included Tommy Gunn, MF Grimm, King Geedorah, Kurious, DJ Cucumber Slice, and more.  A remastered edition was released in 2015.

1993 - The soundtrack to the motion picture Who's The Man? was released on Uptown.

1999 - Rapper Ma$e announced his retirement from the music industry.

2004 - Ghostface Killah released his fourth studio album The Pretty Toney Album on Def Jam.

2010 - Cypress Hill released their eighth studio album Rise Up on Priority.
