On this day in 2004, Madvillain released their debut album Madvillainy on Stones Throw. Rapper MF Doom and producer Madlib formed the duo and self-produced their album on a $13,000 budget. Madvillainy spawned the singles "All Caps" and "Money Folder," which reached #66 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The album peaked at #179 on the Billboard 200 and #80 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart.
