The debut set spawned five instant hip-hop classics including "I Need a Beat," "Dear Yvette," "You'll Rock," "I Can Give You More," and "I Can't Live Without My Radio," which was also perfomed by LL in the film Krush Groove.

Radio peaked at #46 on the Billboard 200.  It reached #6 on the R&B chart.  It was certified platinum by the RIAA.
