On this day in 1990, hip-hop duo Kid 'n Play released their second and penultimate album Funhouse on Select Records. The album was produced by Hurby Luv Bug and The Invincibles. The only guest artist featured on the set were hip-hop duo Salt 'N' Pepa. Funhouse spawned the singles "Funhouse," which hit #1 on the Rap chart; and "Back to Basics," which peaked at #16 on the Rap chart. The album reached #58 on the Billboard 200. It peaked at #11 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. It was certified gold in June, 1992 by the RIAA.
