On this day in 2008, Kanye West released his fourth studio album 808s & Heartbreak on Def Jam. The album featured production from Kanye, Jeff Bhasker, Mr. Hudson, No I.D., and Plain Pat. Guest artists featured on the set included Kid Cudi, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, and Mr. Hudson. 808s & Heartbreak spawned the hit singles "Love Lockdown," which reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified multi-platinum by the RIAA; "Heartless," which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified six-times multi-platinum; "Amazing," which hit #81 on the Billboard Hot 100, #22 on the Rap chart and was certified platinum; and "Paranoid," which peaked at #61 on the Pop 100 chart. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. It was certified platinum by the RIAA.
