On this day in 2001, Jay Z released his sixth album The Blueprint on Roc-A-Fella. Despite the album being untimely released on the day of the terrorist attack, The Blueprint sold over 420,000 copies it's first week and soon certified multi-platinum. The album featured production by Just Blaze, Timbaland, Eminem, and a young Kanye West. The set featured three smash hits that all reached the top ten on the charts, including the Kanye produced joint "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)." The Blueprint featured Eminem as its only guest artist.
