On this day in 1994, Hammer released his fifth album The Funky Headhunter on Giant. The album featured production from Teddy Riley, Stefan Adamek, G-Bomb, the Hines Brothers, and the Whole 9. Guest artists featured on the album included Tha Dogg Pound, 2 Bigg MC, and Suge Knight. The Funky Headhunter spawned the hit singles "Pumps and a Bump," which reached #26 on the BillboardHot 100 and peaked at #3 on the Rap chart; and "It's All Good," which reached #46 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album reached #12 on the Billboard 200. It peaked at #2 on the R&B chart. It was certified platinum by the RIAA.
