On this day in Hip-Hop history, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five were inducted into the R&R HoF.
On this day in 2007, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Jay Z introduced the New York group who helped pioneer hip-hop making them the first hip-hop act to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. They performed a medley of their hits including "The Message" and "White Lines." The group was inducted alongside R.E.M., the Ronettes, Patti Smith, and Van Halen.
