On this day in 1992, Gang Starr released their third album Daily Operation on EMI. The album was self-produced and contained samples from Aretha Franklin, Schoolly D, Eric B. & Rakim, and Charles Mingus, and others. Artists Lil Dap and Jeru the Damaja were featured as guests on the set. Daily Operation spawned the hits "Ex Girl to Next Girl" and "Take It Personal," which both reached the top five on the Rap chart. The album reached #65 on the Billboard 200. It peaked at #14 on the R&B chart.
