On this day in Hip-Hop history, Drake released his first EP So Far Gone.
On this day in 2009, Toronto rapper Drake released his first EP So Far Gone on Universal. The EP was the first album officially released on a label for Drake and was comprised of songs from his So Far Gone mixtape which released earlier in the year. It featured production by Boi-1da, DJ Khalil, 40, and Needlz. So Far Gone debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200. The EP was certified gold. It spawned three top forty singles on the Billboard 100: "Best I Ever Had," which hit #2; "Successful," and "I'm Goin' In," which featured Lil Wayne.
