On this day in 1998, the Beastie Boys released their fifth studio album Hello Nasty on Capitol Records. The album was produced by Mario Caldato Jr. Guests featured on the album included Brooke Williams, Miho Hatori, and Lee "Scratch" Perry along with the addition of Mix Master Mike to the crew. Hello Nasty spawned the singles "Intergalactic," which won a Grammy and reached #28 on the Billboard Hot 100; "Body Movin'," which was the second single off the album and was later remixed by Fatboy Slim; and "The Negotiation Limerick File," which peaked at #29 on the Modern Rock chart. The album reached #1 on the Billboard 200. It was certified multi-platinum by the RIAA.
