On this day in 2004, Xzibit released his fifth album Weapons of Mass Destruction on Columbia. The album featured production from Timbaland, Hi-Tek, Rick Rock, DJ Khalil, Danja, Mr. Porter, Battlecat, Thayod Ausar, and Sir Jinx. Notable guest artists featured on the album included Keri Hilson, Busta Rhymes, Truth Hurts, Krondon, Mitchy Slick, Tone, Strong Arm Steady, Suga Free, and Butch Cassidy. Weapons of Mass Destruction spawned the hit single "Hey Now (Mean Muggin)," which reached #93 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album debuted at #43 on the Billboard 200. It was certified gold by the RIAA.
