On this day in 1994, the Wu-Tang Clan released the hit single "C.R.E.A.M." on Loud. An acronym for "Cash Rules Everything Around Me," the single was from the Wu's debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). It was produced by RZA and contained a sample from The Charmel's 1967 song "As Long As I've Got You." Method Man, Raekwon, and Inspectah Deck were featured on the single. "C.R.E.A.M." reached #60 on the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at #32 on the R&B chart. It is one of the Wu's highest-charting singles to date. It was certified gold by the RIAA.
