On this day in 2003, Outkast released their fifth studio album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below on LaFace. It was released as a double album with Big Boi as front man on Speakerboxxx and Andr'e 3000 on The Love Below. The album featured production from Big Boi, Andr'e 3000, Dojo5, Mr. DJ, Carl Mo, and Cutmaster Swift. Guest artists featured on the set included Jay Z, Norah Jones, Kelis, Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, Cee-Lo Green, Sleepy Brown, and Killer Mike. Speakerboxxx/The Love Below spawned the singles: "Hey Ya!," which reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100; "The Way You Move," which also reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100; and "Roses," which peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached #1 on the Rap chart. The album reached #1 on the Billboard 200. It won Grammys for album of the year and best rap album. It was certified diamond by the RIAA.
