On this day in 1990, Masta Ace released his debut album Take a Look Around on Cold Chillin' Records. The debut set was produced by Marley Marl and Mister Cee. The album spawned the singles: "Together/Letter to the Better," which was the lead single off the set; "Me and the Biz," which peaked at #47 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart and #8 on the Rap chart; "Music Man," which reached #13 on the Rap chart; and "Movin' On." Take a Look Around reached #38 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart.
