On this day in 2006, Kanye West released the live album Late Orchestration on Mercury. The album was recorded in front of a private audience of three hundred specially invited guests at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London. West performed all the songs from his second album Late Registration backed by an all-female seventeen-piece string orchestra. John Legend and Lupe Fiasco were featured guest artists during the performance.
