On this day in 2013, Childish Gambino released his second studio album Because the Internet on Glassnote. The album featured production from Gambino and Ludwig Goransson. Notable guest artists featured on the album included Chance the Rapper, Jhene Aiko, and Azealia Banks. Because the Internet spawned the singles, "3500," which reached #64 on the Billboard Hot 100; and "Crawl," which peaked at #28 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The album debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200. It was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2014 for Best Rap Album. It was certified gold in February 2016.
