On this day in 1997, the Bronx duo Camp Lo released their debut studio album Uptown Saturday Night on Profile. The album was executive produced by Ill Will Fulton and featured production from Ski and Trugoy the Dove. Guest artists featured on the album included Trugoy the Dove, Butterfly, Jungle Brown, Karachi R.A.W. and Bones. Uptown Saturday Night featured the lead single "Luchini AKA This Is It," which reached #50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at #5 on the Rap chart. The album peaked at #27 on the Billboard 200. It reached #5 on the R&B chart.
